BEYOND FEEDING 2020
Beyond Feeding 2020 is a community-based project established in 2016. What started out as a feeding scheme has evolved and aims to develop the most vulnerable of communities by enabling them to become self-sustainable. BEYOND FEEDING 2020 has adopted KAMPIES, informal settlement, but has expansion plans to extend outreach to other informal settlements within the Philippi Horticultural Area by end 2025

BEYOND FEEDING’S HEALTH CARE DAY 2020 OVERVIEW:

Beyond Feeding set out to provide access to quality health care for some of the most vulnerable children of Cape Town in partnership with #ONEHealthcare. DR Chantal Van Zitters (One of the Mail & Gaurdian’s 200 Young South Africans) lead the way in this labour of love initiative.

Over 30 children between the ages of 0-6 years old along with their parent/care giver, was invited to a private medical facility where doctors, dentists & physiotherapists alike volunteered their time and expertise.

Many of these children had never before experienced any kind of medical services. Thanks to THE FUN PROJECT the kids where taught good oral hygiene in a fun and interactive way. Also, a big THANK YOU to KFC for their generous donation. This contributed to the overall success of the day!

Through this initiative, Beyond Feeding directly contributed to the early detection of a life-threatening illness of a little nine year old girl, Thanks to the all the professionals who volunteered their services to make this initiative a success! #ONEhealthcare has once again offered their services to Beyond Feeding.
