EventMate SA will host an online fundraiser for the benefit of the SA Innovation Summit’s Tech Tribe Community. The online fundraiser will be hosted on the Edalali auction platform and will run from Monday, September 13th till Sunday, September 19th. The fundraiser is open to the public and organizations for bids and donations. Funds for the Tech Tribe community will be raised in two ways:
- Auction of innovative products and services donated by entrepreneurs, and
- Cash donations.
“As a female South African entrepreneur and a member of the Tech Tribe Community, I’m excited that we were given this opportunity to help entrepreneurs as we once were”, says the Managing Director of the startup EventMate SA, Shivani Chetty. “Our goal through our Edalali platform is to raise R 145 000 to support a 100 entrepreneurs through the Tech Tribe Community”
Every R 1 450 raised will support an entrepreneur on the Community for 12 months, and every R 150 donated will support an entrepreneur for 1 month.
The Tech Tribe Community is an SA Innovation Summit initiative, which was created to help entrepreneurs to:
- Access markets,
- Share knowledge,
- Up skill for investment opportunities,
- Showcasing of their business, product and/or service, and
- To gain media exposure.
